Watermark Pointe Development Team Says There Is A Need For Beachfront Luxury Condominiums In New Rochelle

New Rochelle's growing downtown is not the only area that developers have set their sights on: now, National Realty and Development Corp (NRDC) has been under construction at 700 Davenport Avenue with the 14-acre, $100 million, upscale 72-unit Watermark Pointe condominiums. The site features nine low-rise, eight-unit residential buildings, as well as a clubhouse and gatehouse. The area had previously been the home of the well known Beckwith Pointe Club, a beach club and catering hall, since 1986. New Rochelle has nine miles of extensive coastline and Watermark Pointe is at the tip of a secluded peninsula on Long Island Sound. The complex will be ideal for residents as it is next to beaches and just thirty minutes from Manhattan. The developments have, as predicted, sold quickly with only ten units remaining.

Billed as "classic New England seaside architecture," by its developer, Watermark Point offers sweeping views of the sound and many prime conveniences. Each structure has a secure lobby, indoor parking garage and an elevator. I recently had the distinct honor of speaking with Jerrold Bermingham, executive vice president of National Realty and Development Corp, and asked him about the need for upscale beachfront living. "The need for luxury lifestyle is coming largely from single family home owners who want to remain close to family, friends and of course New York City, while upgrading to a resort style life with less work and full amenities," commented Mr. Bermingham. "The waterfront is the key feature in every facet at Watermark Pointe, a unique gift we are excited to offer to residents. Not only do we have the three sides of water and the beachfront that you can utilize, but a heated pool and a clubhouse," added Bermingham. I asked Mr. Bermingham about the early vision of the buildings from ground up and if his expectations have been exceeded with pre-sales so abundant. "We started construction in 2017 with the knowledge that downtown New Rochelle was primed for their transformation and waterfront luxury residences would be a rare and valuable commodity. Our expectations have been met and exceeded on both fronts. Buildings one through five are occupied and we are under construction on buildings six through nine with only ten remaining units," remarked Mr. Bermingham.

The graceful, elegant apartments, which range from 2,400 s/f to 2,700 s/f, have 30-foot terraces offering stunning views, expansive living and dining areas with fireplaces, state-of-the-art island kitchens with high-end appliances, including Miele stainless steel dishwasher, pantry wall with built-in refrigerator and microwave oven, 36" six-burner Wolf stainless steel range, solid surface countertops and custom cabinetry, and more. The condominiums, priced at approximately $1.8 million, will include three-bedrooms with master suite and spa bathroom. The penthouse greatrooms showcase 15-foot ceilings ensuring the light and comfort of home. Other features at Watermark Pointe include a gathering room with indoor fireplace, a bar, game tables, a large screen TV,  and a heated outdoor pool overlooking the beachfront. There will also be an on-site resident manager and two porters on staff. Watermark Pointe's exceptional white glove approach to luxury waterfront living is certain to be an attractive destination here in New Rochelle. Impeccable waterfront living Is now here in The Queen City Of The Sound!  Watermark Pointe pioneers and ushers in a heralded new, sophisticated style of life overlooking pristine Long Island Sound.
